WellSky Transfusion Application & Configuration Training

WellSky Transfusion Application and Configuration training takes Transfusion clients through discussion, demonstration, and exploration, using the tools necessary for the investigation and review of the Transfusion software product. This 5-day training session accommodates intermediate to advanced skill levels. Join us in-person to learn about how to get the most out of your WellSky Transfusion solution.

Detailed Overview

This intensive class covers a full range of skills required to manage the entire Blood Bank workflow. Your agency’s Administrator/Super User(s) will go through a structured learning experience that includes hands-on experience. The five-day training includes three days of streamlined Application Training and two days of extended Configuration Training.

Objectives

3 days of Transfusion Application Training

• Understand how to navigate and describe the functionality of the system.
• Practice and complete various types of worksheets and tasks in the system.

2 days of Transfusion Configuration Training

• Describe the design and navigation features of the Configurator.
• Modify and edit the Configurator.
• Configure and customize a variety of tables in the Configurator.

This PACE-eligible class (33 contact hours) is considered an intermediate-level training event. The program is designed for users who are responsible for maintaining the WellSky Transfusion system. Supplemental materials are included in an online companion course in the WellSky Training Center.

Prerequisites:

This training is designed for users already familiar with the basic functionality of the Transfusion Application and/or a general understanding of the Configurator. The three days of Application Training are more straightforward and at a faster rate. The two days of Configurator training allow for more topics to be covered and in an extended time frame. WellSky Transfusion Application and Configuration Training is designed primarily for those with responsibility for maintenance of the Transfusion System.

This course is best suited for LIS application analysts, IT Staff, Blood Bank managers, lead techs, and future trainers. Blood Bank experience is recommended but not required. This course assumes familiarity with the Transfusion application.
