This immersive, beginner‑friendly three‑day class guides learners from foundational navigation skills to more advanced reporting techniques in SAP Business Objects. Whether you’re brand‑new to reporting or looking to strengthen your data analysis skills, this structured, hands‑on experience will equip you with the confidence and knowledge needed to build meaningful, accurate reports. Participants will progress through a structured, hands‑on experience that includes:

  • Navigation and user workspace — Learn how to confidently navigate the BI Launch Pad, manage your user workspace, understand instances and inboxes, and customize display options to support efficient reporting workflows.
  • Report creation basics — Explore universes, learn how objects are structured, and practice designing new reports from scratch. Gain skills in adding and removing data elements, formatting tables, and organizing report pages so your outputs are both clear and functional.
  • Query design & filters — Develop strong fundamentals in the Query Panel by selecting objects, using prompts, applying filters, and structuring clean, accurate queries. These skills ensure you can reliably pull the right information into your reports every time.
  • Variables, formulas & input controls — Progress to more advanced techniques, including creating variables (count, where, if statements, nested logic), building input controls, and optimizing reports to improve usability and insight. These tools help turn raw data into meaningful analysis.
  • Data visualization & report optimization — By the final day, learners apply intermediate-level skills to organize and visualize data through breaks, ranks, sorts, and charts—making complex information easier to interpret for stakeholders and leadership.
